My name is Te-En (Danny). I’m a student studying Mechanical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University. I have always wanted to help other people. Through the study in GCSP, I realized that I could use my professional knowledge and technical skills to help the people in need.
In the process of learning and studying in GCSP, I experienced the joy of interacting and working with people from different backgrounds through taking courses or participating activities like Green Camp Summer School Program held by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany. I honed my expertise by actively joining in various project competitions and discussing with my GCSP mentors Jyh-Tong Teng and Huei-Chu Weng to improve and revise my research project.
With determination and perseverance, I was about to overcome and solve the problems on issues that we are facing. As an engineering student, now I could not only identify the difference between scientific publications, but also be able to create, design, and implement new technologies into strategies and approaches. In the journey of exploring new tech, I was fond of diving into real-world problem by trial and error and eventually became better comprehend the appropriate application, rather than just staying in theoretical research.
It’s a great joy to be part of the Grand Challenge Scholar Program (GCSP). I appreciate not only the opportunities and resources GCSP provided but also the guidance and support from College of Engineering (COE). Furthermore, I received many feedback and suggestions from my mentors, helping me improve my research ability, all of which have made this journey unforgettable.
Overall, GCSP program fostered my competencies in talent, multidiscipline, multicultural, entrepreneurship, and social consciousness with giving me rewarding experience to develop valuable innovation.
