The five-day intensive program brought together high school students for immersive learning in quantum computing, with Associate Professors Huang Tsung-Wei, Chen Chih-Yu, and Chang Yen-Jui from CYCU leading more than half of the camp\u2019s core curriculum. Their participation highlights CYCU\u2019s leadership and growing impact in cultivating next-generation quantum talent.<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The curriculum provided a comprehensive introduction to quantum science, covering classical mechanics, modern physics, the mathematical foundations of quantum mechanics, quantum computer hardware and software architectures, quantum algorithms, quantum entanglement, and quantum communication. Participants also gained hands-on experience using IBM Quantum systems, progressing from fundamental concepts to quantum programming and practical applications. Through a carefully structured learning sequence, CYCU faculty guided students in building a solid foundation in quantum computing while inspiring the next generation of innovators in quantum technology.<\/span><\/h5><p><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans TC', sans-serif; word-spacing: 0.8px; color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/eng.cycu.edu.tw\/wp-content\/uploads\/02-%E4%B8%AD%E5%8E%9F%E5%A4%A7%E5%AD%B8%E9%87%8F%E5%AD%90%E8%B3%87%E8%A8%8A%E4%B8%AD%E5%BF%83%E5%8A%A9%E7%90%86%E6%95%99%E6%8E%88%E5%BC%B5%E6%99%8F%E7%91%9E%E6%93%94%E4%BB%BB%E7%87%9F%E9%9A%8A%E8%AC%9B%E5%B8%AB%EF%BC%8C%E5%B8%B6%E9%A0%98%E5%AD%B8%E5%93%A1%E5%BB%BA%E7%AB%8B%E9%87%8F%E5%AD%90%E8%A8%88%E7%AE%97%E5%9F%BA%E7%A4%8E%E3%80%82.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans TC', sans-serif; word-spacing: 0.8px; color: #000000;\">Directed by Distinguished Professor Ching-Ray Chang of CYCU\u2019s Department of Physics, the Quantum Information Center plays a leading role in advancing quantum education in Taiwan. Professor Chang, formerly a Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan University and Director of the NTU\u2013IBM Quantum Hub, has been instrumental in promoting quantum education nationwide. \u201cQuantum technology has the potential to become the next transformative technology after semiconductors,\u201d he said. \u201cBy introducing high school students to quantum computing at an early stage, we hope to cultivate the next generation of quantum talent for Taiwan.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"background-color: #fafafa; font-family: 'Noto Sans TC', sans-serif; word-spacing: 0.8px;\">Offered free of charge, the summer camp received an overwhelming response. Due to strong demand, enrollment was expanded from the original 40 in-person and 60 online participants to 60 students in each format. Participants also received a complimentary copy of <\/span><em style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans TC', sans-serif; word-spacing: 0.8px;\">Introduction to Quantum Technology<\/em><span style=\"background-color: #fafafa; font-family: 'Noto Sans TC', sans-serif; word-spacing: 0.8px;\">. Beginning with fundamental concepts such as qubits, quantum superposition, and quantum entanglement, the program progressed to hands-on quantum programming using IBM Quantum systems. Through its long-standing partnership with the NTU\u2013IBM Quantum Hub and the Hon Hai Education Foundation, CYCU has co-organized the High School Quantum Computing Summer Camp for several consecutive years, helping extend quantum education to younger learners.<\/span><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Looking ahead, CYCU will continue strengthening quantum talent development through curriculum innovation, faculty expertise, and cross-institutional collaboration.
