Quantum Technology × SDGs: Cultivating Global-Minded Talent for the Future
On July 9, 2025, the Quantum Information Center at Chung Yuan Christian University formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UN-supported Social Impact Investment Foundation (SIIF-UN). Together, they are launching an international collaborative initiative to promote education in quantum technology and sustainable development.
Moving forward, both parties will join forces to nurture young tech talent in the Asia-Pacific region. Their inaugural collaborative event—the ‘AI and Quantum Technology UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Workshop’—is set to kick off this August at the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan. The workshop features a diverse curriculum, including quantum programming, hands-on AI implementation, and practical case studies for proposing SDG solutions.
Upon completing the workshop, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion issued by an institution within the UN system.
This partnership not only signifies a major leap forward in the university’s international strategy for quantum education, but also opens up a much broader global stage for Taiwanese students and youth.
