作者簡介
金 明迴（Minhyong Kim）是一位韓國數學家，研究領域主攻算術幾何、拓樸學和數學物理。他現在是英國愛丁堡國際數學科學中心的主任、愛丁堡大學和 何里瓦特大學（Heriot-Watt University）所 設 的 聯 合 研 究 所 ——馬克士威研究所——的 惠 特 克（Whittaker）數學科學講座教授。他的主要數學貢獻是運用算術同倫論的工具來演算求解二元丟番圖（Diophantus）方程。
