class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h1><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">\u00a0I. <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">Award period<\/span><\/strong><\/h1><section class=\"news_page\"><ul><li><p>The program is divided into Summer Session (2 months), 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, or 1-year terms.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Except for the Summer Session, the scholarship period is generally from September 1 of the current year to August 31 of the following year.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h1><strong><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">III. Financial Ass<span style=\"color: #e67936;\">istance<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h1><p>Scholarship recipients will be given a A monthly stipend of TWD$25,000.<\/p><h1><strong><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">IV. Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/h1><p>Foreign nationals who are at least 18 years old, have graduated from a senior high school or higher, demonstrate good academic performance, and possess proper conduct are eligible. However, applicants with any of the following conditions are not eligible:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li><p>Holding overseas Chinese status or a Republic of China (Taiwan) passport.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Currently studying Mandarin in Taiwan or having previously enrolled in a degree program in Taiwan.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Having previously received this scholarship or the Taiwan Scholarship.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Being an exchange student in Taiwan under an academic cooperation agreement between a Taiwanese university\/college and a foreign school.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Receiving other scholarships or financial aid provided by Taiwanese government agencies or schools concurrently.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"news_page_con\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Candidates with one of the following qualifications may<\/span> <strong><span style=\"color: #d46161;\">NOT<\/span> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">apply:<\/span><\/p><p class=\"news_page_con\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">1. Is an overseas Chinese student or a national of the R.O.C.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"news_page_con\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">2. Is currently registered as a student at a Mandarin Language Center or has sought a degree from a university or college in Taiwan.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"news_page_con\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">3. Has already received a HES or a Taiwan Scholarship, in the past.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"news_page_con\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">4. Is an exchange student to Taiwan, during the scholarship period.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"news_page_con\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">5. Is currently receiving financial benefits from the Taiwan government or another educational institution.<\/span><\/p><h1><strong><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">V. Application Procedure<\/span><\/strong><\/h1><p>Applicants should follow the guidelines announced by the relevant overseas mission (usually published in January or February each year) and submit the following documents to the mission corresponding to their country of nationality or residence by the application deadline:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li><p>Application Form (sample form in Appendix 1; the overseas mission may adopt its own format as reference).<\/p><\/li><li><p>Copy of Passport or other documents verifying the applicant&#8217;s nationality.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Copy of the highest academic diploma and transcript.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Copy of documents submitted to the Mandarin Learning Center (e.g., admission application form).<\/p><\/li><li><p>Any other documents required by the overseas mission.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><h1><strong><span style=\"color: #e67936;\">VI.
