I、About course
Q1: Who can apply for one-on-one courses?
A1:
One-on-one courses cannot be used to apply for a student visa.
If you come to Taiwan from overseas and need a Chinese language student visa, please apply for the regular seasonal program.
Q2: Can I apply for more than one term at a time?
A2:
At present, students can apply for one term only.
After enrollment, you only need to pay tuition for the next term.
Q3: How long can I study Mandarin?
A3:
According to Ministry of Education regulations, the maximum study period is two years.
At our center, students may study up to eight terms.
Q4: Who needs to take the placement test?
A4:
Students who have studied Chinese must take the placement test.
Students with less than one month of study do not need to take the test.
Q5: Placement test format
A5:
The placement test includes: – Online test – Oral interview
Please answer according to your real level.
Any form of cheating will result in the cancellation of admission.
Q6: New student enrollment steps

After receiving the admission notice, please follow these steps: 1. Apply for a visa 2. Take the placement test 3. Receive the visa 4. Confirm enrollment 5. Arrive in Taiwan 6. Attend orientation 7. Pay tuition and buy textbooks.

Q8: Is a TOCFL certificate required?

No. All levels of students are welcome to apply.
II、About fees
Q1: What documents are required for application?
A1:
Please check the application process on our website (link).
The following documents are required:
– Passport or ARC copy
– Graduation certificate (Chinese or English)
– Academic transcript (Chinese or English)
– 2-inch photo
– Financial statement (at least NTD 80,000)
Please note: – A deposit of NTD 1,500 must be paid within 3 days.
Q2: When should tuition be paid?
A2:
Unless tuition payment proof is required for visa application, students are advised to pay tuition after receiving the visa and arriving in Taiwan.
If a refund is needed due to visa rejection, the refund will be made according to refund rules and returned through the original payment method (for example, credit card).
Q3: Must the financial statement be under the student's name?
A3:
It is recommended that the financial statement be under the student’s name.
The document must show that the student can pay tuition and living expenses without working.
Q4:Can tuition be paid in installment?
A4:
No. Tuition must be paid in full amount.
III、About visa
Q1：How do I appaly to visa?
A1：
Please contact the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in your country.Prepare your documents and apply according to TECO requirements.
Q2：Is a health check required?
A2：
The center does not require a health check report.
If required for visa application, please follow TECO instructions.
Q3：Does the center help with visa extension?
A3：
Students must apply for visa extension by themselves at the Immigration Office.
The center does not handle visa extension or residence permit applications.
IV、Insurance and Other FAQ
Q1：What insurance is provided?
A1:
New students are not immediately eligible for Taiwan National Health Insurance.
The center provides accident insurance.
Travel insurance is added for outdoor activities. Details will be explained during the orientation.
Q2: Is student housing available?
A2:
The university does not provide dormitories for Mandarin students.
Students must arrange their own accommodation.
The address must be legal and can be used to apply for a Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate.
Q3: When will I receive the admission result?
A3:
Review starts after the application fee is received.
Results will be sent by email within one to two weeks.
