Application Process for Visa Students
If you plan to enter Taiwan from abroad and apply for a Chinese language study visa, please carefully review the application procedures. All relevant documents must be submitted to the Mandarin Learning Center via the online registration form at least six weeks prior to the start of the course.
※ Please note: Registration at the Mandarin Learning Center does not constitute eligibility for a visa. Before registering, please verify the visa application requirements with the appropriate overseas office.
I.Registration Process
Step 1. Submit the required documents
Please submit the following documents to the Mandarin Learning Center (MLC) in Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) via the online registration form at least six weeks prior to the start of the course. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Copy of Highest Academic Diploma and Transcript
both must be translated into Chinese or English
diploma copy must be notarized by the relevant foreign office
Copy of Passport (1 copy)
Two-inch Personal Photos (3 photos)
Bank Financial Statement (from your home country account, equivalent to at least TWD$80,000)
※ After uploading all required documents, please proceed to pay the registration fee of TWD$1,500. (This fee will be credited toward your tuition upon official enrollment.)

Step 2. Visa Application and Payment of Related Fees
Once the Mandarin Learning Center receives your application documents and deposit, and after verification, an admission notice (issued by the Mandarin Learning Center of Chung Yuan Christian University) will be provided within one to two weeks.
Upon receiving these documents, please apply for a “Visa for studying Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan” at your local Taiwan Embassy, Taiwan Consulate, or Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.
- Payment Methods: Cash, bank transfer, or online credit card payment.
※ Reminder
The following costs are provided for reference and may vary depending on actual circumstances:
Taxi fare: approximately TWD$1,000–1,500 (from Taoyuan Airport to Chung Yuan Christian University)
Tuition and registration fee: TWD$30,000
Textbook fee: approximately TWD$ 1,500–2,000
Accommodation: approximately TWD$ 5,000–8,000 per month
注意事項
After your arrival in Taiwan, you must maintain contact with our staff. If you lose contact without reason, the Center will notify the National Immigration Agency.
The Mandarin Learning Center does not provide dormitory accommodations. If you require rental housing, please inform us in advance, and we will provide contact information for rental agents.
The course schedule at the Mandarin Learning Center may be adjusted according to the Executive Yuan calendar.
Since national holidays are not included in the course period, the term may start earlier or end later than originally scheduled.
II. Placement Test
After receiving the admission letter and completing the payment, our staff member will contact you to take a placement test. The Mandarin Learning Center will then assign you to a suitable course based on your Chinese proficiency and learning needs.
III. Enrollment
