Human Resources Management<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nHuman resource management is an important asset in an organization. Through the strategy, selection, training and development, salary and other issues of human resource management in the course, students can have a better understanding of human resource management in order to improve organizational performance in the organization in the future and have a competitive advantage in an international and competitive environment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Ergonomics<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\n\n

1.This course enables students to understand the basic principles of human factors engineering, human-machine interaction, and the influencing factors.
The instructor will share her practical experiences promoting human factors activities at Foxconn, exploring common ergonomic issues and solutions in corporate practice.<\/p>\n

2. After watching the asynchronous recorded teaching videos, students will engage in online discussions on i-learning regarding the weekly topic. The instructor will assign international journal articles or literature related to specific topics for reading. Every subsequent week, students will conduct group readings in person or synchronously online to understand the authors\u2019 viewpoints and arguments.
It helps graduate students develop basic skills in searching and organizing literature, facilitating better application of the knowledge learned.<\/p>\n

3. Ultimately, the group will plan and conduct human factors experiments and complete a final report demonstrating the practical application of the semester\u2019s learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Product Development and Innovation<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\n\n

1. Establish the concept of product collaborative development and management.<\/p>\n

Project Management<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nProject Management covers concepts and skills used to propose, plan secure resources, budget and lead project teams to successful completion of projects.
This course is not only on how the project and its process works, but also, and more importantly, on why the project works.
Furthermore, it’s designed for the individual who will be required to manage a variety of projects in a variety of organizational settings.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Leadership Strategy<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nThis course draws upon 4 parts of leadership\u2019s study \u2013 leadership development, leadership influence, traits of follower, and situational leadership.

This curriculum incorporates literature from empirical studies, stories and research findings to create an interactive course that inculcates international and transnational perspectives. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

Machine Learning<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nMachine learning is to design appropriate algorithms to improve its predictive capability through data updating and environmental interaction. This course emphasizes supervised learning.
By using interesting examples, we will build different mathematical models and use Python to synthesize the problem.
After taking the course, the students will learn the whole application cycle and possess the foundation of a data scientist to solve the problems of an enterprise or organization.
Besides the traditional machine learning models, we will also use mixed integer programming and robust optimization to learn new results in this field and solve the formulation by Gurobi.
We will use flipped classroom. Through interactive discussion and learning-by-doing, this course will enhance the capability of students to solve real-world problems.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Quality Control<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\n\n

This course aims to introduce the commonly used techniques to improve quality and productivity. The techniques covered in this course include statistical process control (SPC) methods, classical control charts and acceptance sampling plans. Emphasis will be placed on both theory and practical implementation of quality control and improvement.<\/p>\n

This course also emphasizes the application of SPC and execution R code for statistic analytics, developing control charts and process capability analysis so that students can obtain practical application ability.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Mathematical Programming<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\n\n

Linear programming is wildly applied in different fileds and is used for real life problems, examples are the resource allocation problem, the production planning, the transportation scheme, and so on. In this course, besides applications introduction, fundamentals and theories of Linear Programming are given, especially the main core methodology, Simplex method.
In order to make Linear Programming into practice, students have to learn how to build a mathematical model and implement the model by software GAMS\/Cplex to solve a small-scale real life problem.
Students will be required to form a group in 3 to 4 people to carry out a class project and give a public presentation to demonstrate their class projects.
The objectives of the course are as follows,<\/p>\n

– To understand the common problems, fundamental theories and applications in the field of Linear Programming.<\/p>\n

– To understand how to apply Linear Programming techniques to establish mathematical models and apply computer software to solve the Linear Programming problems.<\/p>\n

– To enhance and promote students\u2019 English presentation and English writing abilities<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Technology Management<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nThe objective of this course is to deliver the concept of technology management, and the importance of the management of innovation. Various strategies and evaluations of technology management will be introduced. At the end of this curriculum, students should be able to:

2. compare different technology management models

3. evaluate the performance of a technology

Intelligent Manufacturing Systems<\/td>\nhalf<\/td>\n3<\/td>\nThe primary objective of this course is to align with the development of the high-tech industry and address the evolving needs of traditional industries.

Our goal is to provide guidelines for students in the fields of intelligent manufacturing techniques and manufacturing system management, which are crucial for staying competitive in today’s rapidly changing industrial landscape.

Through the implementation of industry-academic collaboration initiatives, we aim to advance research in manufacturing information and systems, ultimately enhancing the overall competitiveness of the industry.

In this course, students will engage with certain real-world applications and discussions, integrating the problem-based learning approach to deepen their understanding of intelligent manufacturing concepts.

The focus of the curriculum will be on exploring various technologies and novel ideas and allowing students to grasp the redefinition of the manufacturing industry in the context of Industry 4.0 and its intricate web of integrated relationships.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
