I\u2019m a Senior majoring in Biomedical engineering, minoring in Electrical engineering at CYCU, Chung Yuan Christian University. I love to improve and challenge myself, so I\u2019m used to having a packed schedule. Academically wise, I have maintained a 3.79 GPA while taking roughly 27 credits a semester. I have experience with microcontrollers and servers, specializing in C++, Python and Linux OS. Extracurricular wise, I\u2019m the head of general affairs in the emergency medical club at my school, which is also why I am a board-certified basic Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). The main reason why I wish to participate in the GCSP program is to leave my comfort zone, to test myself and learn with the best of the best, whilst also pursuing an international degree after leaving CYCU.<\/p><p>The main accomplishment of my GCSP (Grand Challenges Scholars Program) experience was our research project, <strong>ESRA<\/strong>, developed in pursuit of the goal to advance health informatics. As part of the team Echo Ally, we created a home-based IoT device designed to support individuals with hearing impairments in their daily lives. When sound-based household devices are activated, ESRA&#8217;s microphone sensor detects the audio cue and sends a signal to the user\u2019s phone or smartwatch\u2014effectively translating sound notifications into text and touch alerts. Our team earned a <strong>Gold Award<\/strong> at the 2024 <strong>gSIC-REAT<\/strong> (Global Student Innovation Challenge\u2014Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology) preliminaries in Taiwan, and was honored with the <strong>Good Project<\/strong> award at the 2024 <strong>gSIC-i-CREATe<\/strong> (Global Student Innovation Challenge\u2014International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology) finals in Shanghai. These experiences broadened my perspective and reshaped my understanding of what is possible through collaborative innovation. A big thanks to the teachers in the College of Engineering and peers that graduated beside me, my GCSP journey would not have been the same without them.<\/p><p>\u6211\u662f\u5f6d\u7965\u6069\uff0c\u76ee\u524d\u5c31\u8b80\u65bc\u4e2d\u539f\u5927\u5b78\uff0c\u4e3b\u4fee\u751f\u7269\u91ab\u5b78\u5de5\u7a0b\uff0c\u4e26\u8f14\u4fee\u96fb\u6a5f\u5de5\u7a0b\u3002\u7531\u65bc\u6211\u71b1\u611b\u81ea\u6211\u6311\u6230\u8207\u6210\u9577\uff0c\u7fd2\u6163\u7dad\u6301\u5145\u5be6\u7684\u65e5\u7a0b\u5b89\u6392\u3002\u5728\u5b78\u8853\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u6211\u6bcf\u5b78\u671f\u4fee\u7fd2\u7d04 27 \u5b78\u5206\uff0c\u4e26\u7dad\u6301 3.79 \u7684 GPA \u6210\u7e3e\u3002\u6211\u64c5\u9577 C++\u3001Python \u7a0b\u5f0f\u8a9e\u8a00\u53ca Linux \u4f5c\u696d\u7cfb\u7d71\uff0c\u4e26\u5177\u5099\u5fae\u8655\u7406\u6a5f\u8207\u4f3a\u670d\u5668\u76f8\u95dc\u7d93\u9a57\u3002\u8ab2\u5916\u6d3b\u52d5\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u6211\u64d4\u4efb\u5b78\u6821\u7dca\u6025\u91ab\u7642\u793e\u7684\u7e3d\u52d9\u80a1\u9577\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u4e5f\u662f\u5177\u5099\u57fa\u790e\u7dca\u6025\u91ab\u7642\u6280\u8853\u54e1\uff08EMT\uff09\u57f7\u7167\u3002\u6211\u5e0c\u671b\u53c3\u8207 GCSP\uff08\u5168\u7403\u5927\u6311\u6230\u5b78\u8005\u8a08\u756b\uff09\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u539f\u56e0\uff0c\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u96e2\u958b\u8212\u9069\u5708\u3001\u8207\u5168\u7403\u512a\u79c0\u5b78\u751f\u5171\u540c\u5b78\u7fd2\u8207\u4ea4\u6d41\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u4e5f\u70ba\u672a\u4f86\u51fa\u570b\u653b\u8b80\u570b\u969b\u5b78\u4f4d\u505a\u6e96\u5099\u3002\u6211\u5728 GCSP \u8a08\u756b\u4e2d\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u6210\u679c\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u662f\u53c3\u8207\u4e86 ESRA \u5c08\u6848\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8207\u958b\u767c\uff0c\u8a72\u5c08\u6848\u65e8\u5728\u63a8\u52d5\u5065\u5eb7\u8cc7\u8a0a\u79d1\u6280\u7684\u9032\u6b65\u3002\u8eab\u70ba Echo Ally \u5718\u968a\u7684\u4e00\u54e1\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u8a2d\u8a08\u4e86\u4e00\u6b3e\u5c45\u5bb6\u578b IoT \u88dd\u7f6e\uff0c\u5354\u52a9\u807d\u529b\u969c\u7919\u8005\u5728\u65e5\u5e38\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\u63a5\u6536\u8072\u97f3\u8a0a\u606f\u3002\u7576\u5bb6\u4e2d\u8072\u97f3\u578b\u8a2d\u5099\u555f\u52d5\u6642\uff0cESRA \u7684\u9ea5\u514b\u98a8\u611f\u6e2c\u5668\u6703\u5075\u6e2c\u5230\u8072\u97f3\u63d0\u793a\uff0c\u4e26\u7acb\u5373\u5c07\u8a0a\u606f\u8f49\u63db\u70ba\u6587\u5b57\u6216\u9707\u52d5\u901a\u77e5\uff0c\u50b3\u9001\u81f3\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u7684\u624b\u6a5f\u6216\u667a\u6167\u624b\u9336\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5718\u968a\u5728 2024 \u5e74\u53f0\u7063\u5340 gSIC-REAT\uff08\u5168\u7403\u5b78\u751f\u5275\u65b0\u6311\u6230\u8cfd\u2014\u5fa9\u5065\u5de5\u7a0b\u8207\u8f14\u5177\u79d1\u6280\uff09\u521d\u8cfd\u4e2d\u7372\u5f97\u91d1\u734e\uff0c\u4e26\u5728\u4e0a\u6d77\u8209\u8fa6\u7684 2024 \u5e74 gSIC-i-CREATe\uff08\u5168\u7403\u5b78\u751f\u5275\u65b0\u6311\u6230\u8cfd\u2014\u570b\u969b\u5fa9\u5065\u5de5\u7a0b\u8207\u8f14\u5177\u79d1\u6280\u6703\u8b70\uff09\u7e3d\u6c7a\u8cfd\u4e2d\u7372\u9812\u300c\u512a\u79c0\u5c08\u6848\u734e\u300d\u3002\u9019\u6bb5\u7d93\u6b77\u62d3\u5c55\u4e86\u6211\u7684\u570b\u969b\u8996\u91ce\uff0c\u4e5f\u91cd\u65b0\u5b9a\u7fa9\u4e86\u6211\u5c0d\u8de8\u9818\u57df\u5275\u65b0\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u7406\u89e3\u8207\u60f3\u50cf\u3002\u5f88\u611f\u8b1d\u5de5\u5b78\u9662\u8001\u5e2b\u7684\u5e6b\u52a9\u4ee5\u53ca\u548c\u6211\u4e00\u8d77\u53c3\u52a0\u8a08\u756b\u7684\u540c\u5b78\uff0c\u6211\u7684GCSP\u6c92\u6709\u4f60\u5011\u7d55\u5c0d\u4e0d\u6703\u90a3\u9ebc\u6709\u8da3\u7cbe\u5f69\u3002<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am Hsiang-En Peng.
