The College of Business (COB), Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) held the 9th Beta Gama Sigma (BGS) Chung Yuan Chapter Recognition Ceremony on April 23, 2025. Dean of the COB, Prof. Dr. Cheng-Wen LEE, led all members to proclaim the BGS oath and awarded honorary membership certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BGS was founded in 1913, which is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world. The BGS Chung Yuan Chapter was officially established in September 2016. The mission of BGS is to encourage and praise business academic achievements, cultivate members’ leadership and professional abilities, thereby enhancing the value of the BGS organization and serving BGS’s lifelong members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2017, a total of 27 doctoral students from our program have been elected as honorary members. Among them, 6 are the 9th BGS honorary members, namely MAO-WEN FU, JUNG SHIAN LI, CHIN CHUAN WANG, ROMI IIHAM (Indonesia), IGNATIUS REYNER GIOVANNI (Indonesia), MAKAIREH DAMPHA (Gambia). The Chung Yuan Chapter determines whether students are eligible for honorary membership based on their academic performance. Doctoral students who are Ph.D. candidates are eligible for the membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has been recognized as the winner of Beta Gamma Sigma\u2019s 2024 and 2025 Silver Outstanding Chapter Award. The CYCU BGS Chung Yuan chapter was selected as the winner of this award out of more than 641 global chapters, found in AACSB-accredited schools in 38 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
