Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) held its graduation ceremony on June 6 and seven students from the Ph.D. program in Business successfully completed their degrees. During the ceremony, prayers were offered, seeking God’s guidance for the graduates’ future journeys—whether in Taiwan or returning to their home countries—that they may experience divine grace, find suitable career paths, and live meaningful lives that serve others.
The Ph.D. program in Business is dedicated to cultivating high-level professionals and higher education faculty with global perspectives, strong research capabilities, and practical industry experience. This cohort included local senior executives and adjunct university lecturers, as well as three university lecturers from Indonesia and the Philippines. Despite the challenges of cross-border study, work, and family responsibilities, all graduates demonstrated strong discipline and perseverance in completing their doctoral studies.
International graduates also overcame challenges in language adaptation, cultural differences, and time management while remaining actively engaged in academic research and completing their dissertations. Their achievements reflect both personal resilience and CYCU’s ongoing commitment to developing international talent in higher education.
The ceremony featured warm scenes as international graduates were joined by family members who traveled to Taiwan, while students from different countries and local peers exchanged greetings and photos, highlighting the university’s multicultural environment.
One local graduate, a senior corporate executive, noted that his doctoral studies helped him integrate academic theory with practical experience, strengthening both his management and research capabilities. He hopes to apply his research outcomes to industry development and talent cultivation.
CYCU’s Ph.D. program continues to promote international admissions and cross-border academic exchange, attracting higher education professionals from abroad. The program congratulates all graduates and encourages them to continue contributing to academia, industry, and the global community through their expertise and research.
