AACSB Accreditation Peer Review Visit – With Deep Gratitude to the Dedicated Support of Teachers, Students, and Alumni of Ph.D. Program in Business

From May 24 to 26, 2025, the College of Business proudly welcomed the AACSB peer review team for an on-site accreditation visit. This visit was not only a rigorous international evaluation but also a heartfelt occasion to showcase the unique spirit and unity of the Ph.D. Program in Business (PIB).
Dean Cheng-Wen Lee, who also serves as the Director of the PIB, led the effort alongside dedicated PIB faculty, students, and outstanding alumni from both Taiwan and abroad. Together, they engaged enthusiastically in every session and discussion, demonstrating the strength and cohesion of the PIB family.
A special note of appreciation goes to three remarkable PIB alumni who now serve as faculty members in the College of Business: Dr. Quynh-Trang Nguyen (Vietnam), Dr. Askar Koshoev (Kyrgyzstan), and Dr. Min-Sun Kim (Korea). Their contributions went far beyond the formal visit—they actively participated in multiple mock interviews during the preparation phase, playing the role of peer reviewers, and showcased their professionalism and international perspectives during the actual visit.
During the roundtable meetings and luncheons, Professor Shih-Mo Lin presented his “Center for Applied Economic Modeling,” while Professor Jan-Yan Lin introduced the “Research Center for Global Taiwanese Business,” highlighting the College’s research depth and real-world relevance. Especially touching were the heartfelt sharings from PIB alumni Mr. Peng Choong Leng (Malaysia) and Ms. Hsiao-Chuan Chen, who returned from afar to recount their rich learning experiences and enduring bonds with faculty and peers.
Current PIB student Augustine Sanyang (The Gambia) also represented the student body, offering a sincere and moving testimony of the support and growth he has experienced in the program.
This on-site visit was more than an academic review—it was a celebration of relationships, shared memories, and collective pride. It reflected the accumulation of past efforts, the energy of the present, and the promise of the future. To every teacher, student, and alumnus who contributed: thank you. Your presence and support powerfully demonstrated that the IB Program is not only a place of academic excellence but also a warm, empowering, and inspiring community. This moment of achievement belongs to us all.
