Career Exploration for International Students in Business and Management: Industry Insights and Internship Opportunities

To support international students in exploring job opportunities and career development in Taiwan, we were honored to invite Mr. Raymond Chen, General Manager of Long Fong Hong Inc, to deliver a talk introducing the company’s business operations, development highlights, and industry insights. He also shared valuable internship opportunities and potential industry-academia collaborations for our students.

Long Fong Hong Inc. has been the sole distributor in Taiwan for ExxonMobil’s MOBIL lubricant product line for over 66 years. With a steadfast approach to business, the company has grown alongside the local industry, consistently delivering high-quality lubricants and advanced technical expertise. Their commitment has earned strong recognition from ExxonMobil, making Long Fong Hong the only authorized distributor for industrial and heavy-duty vehicle lubricants in Taiwan.

We would like to express our special thanks to Mr. Tse-Wen Hung, Chairman of Long Fong Hong and a current doctoral student in our program, for his generous support in offering internship opportunities to international students. These internships not only allow students to gain hands-on industry experience but also serve as a platform to expand their professional network and enhance their Mandarin skills—key steps toward building a successful career in Taiwan.
This event was held on April 29, 2025, in Room 419 of the College of Business, with over 20 students in attendance from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, and The Gambia. The session featured active discussions and enthusiastic engagement, with several students expressing strong interest in applying for internships.
It is worth noting that two students—from Indonesia and The Gambia—have already completed internships at Long Fong Hong during the summer of 2024. We look forward to seeing more students take part in this valuable experience in 2025, paving the way for future career success and long-term development in Taiwan, while contributing to the local economy.
